Disclosure
Our full advertising and affiliate disclosure. How PixelCrown earns, what is commercial, what commission can buy, and — more importantly — what it cannot.
Last updated 3 August 2026 · Applies to pixelcrown.co.uk · PixelCrown Media Ltd
The short version. Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you follow one and open an account, the operator may pay us a commission. The operator pays it, never you, and it does not change the terms you are offered. Commission does not affect our scores, our rankings or our verdicts. Nothing on this website is for sale except advertising space, and advertising space is always labelled.
1. Why this page exists
We take money from the industry we write about. That is a real conflict of interest, and the only honest way to handle it is to describe it in full and then set out the rules we follow to stop it contaminating what we publish. This page does both. If, having read it, you would rather not be attributed to us, visit the operators directly instead of using our links — our reviews say the same thing either way.
2. How we are funded
PixelCrown is funded by affiliate commission. We have commercial arrangements with the operators of brands we review, either directly or through an affiliate network. When you follow one of our outbound brand links and go on to register an account, the operator may pay us a fee.
Commission is typically structured in one of three ways, and different arrangements may apply to different brands:
- Cost per acquisition (CPA) — a one-off fee for a qualifying new registration.
- Revenue share — a percentage of the operator's net revenue from customers referred by us.
- Hybrid — a combination of the two.
You never pay us anything. Using our links costs you nothing, and the odds, bonus terms, limits and prices you are offered are identical to those you would get by typing the operator's address into your browser yourself. We are paid out of the operator's marketing budget.
3. How commercial links are marked
Every commercial link on this website carries all three of the following:
- A visible "Advertisement" or "affiliate link" label adjacent to it.
- The HTML attribute
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener noreferrer", so search engines and other automated readers can identify it as paid. - An accompanying terms line stating that the offer is subject to the operator's own conditions, that the reader must be 18 or over, and that gambling involves risk.
Our footer carries a standing disclosure on every page, and the notice appears again beside each cluster of brand links. If you ever find a commercial link on this website that is not labelled, that is a mistake and we would like to hear about it: editorial@pixelcrown.co.uk.
4. What commission buys
Being clear about this is the whole point of the page. Commission buys exactly one thing:
- Inclusion in our commercial links. A brand we have no arrangement with will not have a tracked outbound link, because there is nothing to track.
5. What commission does not buy
Commission does not, at any price, buy:
- A score, or any adjustment to one.
- A ranking position. Our listing order follows our published scores, not our commercial rates.
- A favourable verdict, or the softening of an unfavourable one.
- The removal or dilution of a criticism, a listed drawback, or a "look elsewhere if" note.
- An award, a badge, or an "editor's choice" designation.
- Advance approval of a review. No operator sees a review before publication, and no operator has a right of veto over it.
- Exclusion of a competitor.
- A place on this website at all, if the brand cannot be matched to an active Gambling Commission licence.
If an operator asks us to change a rating in exchange for a better commercial rate, we decline, and we note that the approach was made in the review itself. If an operator withdraws an arrangement because of something we published, the review stays exactly as it is and we remove the tracked link.
6. How we keep the two apart
- Scores are set against published, weighted criteria before any commercial discussion, and the criteria are the same for every brand.
- Licensing verification happens first, at the Gambling Commission public register, and it is pass or fail. No commercial relationship can move that bar.
- Listing order is generated from the scores in our data, not arranged by hand.
- Commercial terms are not disclosed to whoever is writing a review, and are not a factor in the write-up.
7. Independence of the operators we cover
We are not owned by, part of, or under common control with any gambling operator, and no operator holds any interest in PixelCrown Media Ltd. We are not an operator ourselves: we take no deposits, hold no customer funds and offer nothing to wager on. We hold no Gambling Commission licence because we carry out no licensable activity.
8. Accuracy of commercial information
Offers change without notice to us, and an operator has no obligation to tell us when terms move. Every review carries the date on which we last checked it. Always read the current terms on the operator's own website before you commit — where our description and the operator's terms differ, theirs are the ones that bind you.
9. Advertising standards
We aim to comply with the CAP Code as it applies to gambling advertising, and in particular with the rules on socially responsible marketing. That means we will not:
- suggest that gambling is a solution to financial problems, or a route to financial security;
- present gambling as a way to gain social status, esteem or success;
- imply that skill, system or persistence can overcome a house edge;
- portray gambling as rash, reckless behaviour to be admired, or urge anyone to chase losses;
- target, or use content with strong appeal to, anyone under 18;
- use language implying urgency or inevitability, such as guarantees of winning.
If you believe something we have published falls short of this, please tell us at complaints@pixelcrown.co.uk. Corrections are made openly with a note on the page saying what changed and when.
10. Our commitment, plainly
We would rather publish two reviews we can defend than forty we cannot. The commercial model above only works if you can trust what sits on top of it — so if you ever catch us ranking by commission rather than by merit, say so publicly and we will have earned it.
